Civic
buildings form the heart of our towns and cities,
whether they are as grand and historic as Winchester
Guildhall or not. The growth and development of our
towns and cities relies on the oldest and usually most
socially significant buildings in the public realm.
These are often the town hall, library or theatre. We
often find these buildings at the centre of the road
and pedestrian networks in urban areas and as a result
these buildings are often a key component in helping
us to navigate after dark. When designing schemes this
is a key consideration. We seek to develop an
understanding of the importance of the building and
how it relates to the surrounding townscape.
We have undertaken a wide range of lighting designs and projects to civic buildings between Winchester and Wakefield and from Bradford to Brighton. Our civic project portfolio also includes some very small projects where we have added professional, robust and cost effective lighting solutions to small public venues. These can be acheived very economically. Click the links on the right for further details.
