As
part of a plan to reverse the decline in tourism
following the foot and mouth epidemic, Forest
Enterprises Limited, The Forest of Dean Sculpture
Trail Trust and The Forest of Dean District Council,
applied for grant aid from a disaster recovery fund
established by central government.
The concept of extending the opening hours of the forest and creating new after dark works was recognised as a unique and innovative project and successfully gained funding. We worked with other artists, co-ordinated with Sam Wilkinson from SWPA to create art installations and, also to provide technical assistance to other artists including Robin Blackledge.
Light Rain was an installation in the heart of the forest involving streams of liquid light falling into a pond and diffusing through it. The installation was hand build and installed by us.
